Santa definitely had Jimmy Choo on his nice list... because he got a new bridle, martingale, bit, and reins :D And I go a new pair of breeches! Hooray!! Now I won't have to keep washing and wearing the solo pair I have now. Thank goodness!! (I've had to repair holes in them at least 4 times now too. Yikes!)
So this morning I was talking to Steph and telling her how pumped I was about the whole bridle get-up. It's an Ovation fancy stitched raised...with matching reins. It is pretty much gorgeous. I can't believe I got it, I am so ecstatic. I woke up early thinking about how to oil it...is that even normal?! I can't wait to just fit it to Jimmy Choo's perfect little face and make it just right.. then oil it and make it soft and supple. He is going to look like such a stud with his new get-up!
Todd got me the martingale and D-Ring snaffle :) When he put the box down the bit jingled and I looked up at him with wide, excited eyes and said "I KNOW THAT SOUND!!!!!" I was freaking out. I haven't gotten a bridle.... probably for close to eight years. It is a big deal!
Steph and I were joking yesterday that I should go shopping in her basement for a new bridle and I told her "I have EVERYTHING too.. but HORSE sized!" because JC is a cob, so his tiny little self gets all new stuff. What a lucky guy.
I hope Doobie isn't jealous... because Jimmy got stuff for Christmas, but you know.. after seven years, Doobie has about EVERYTHING there is to have! Then again... maybe he didn't get anything because he was on the naughty list.....?? (I'm sure he will be happy enough with the bran mash I make him tomorrow morning when I go out. I'll put some candy canes in it... make it a little more festive. Even if he is naughty. I love him)
Chelsey and I have to be sure we take our decorations down this weekend, since the new rules at the barn state that we aren't allowed to have decorations up more than 5 days past the appropriate holiday. I'd hate for anyone to throw away my $3 Farm & Fleet wreaths....

what a wonderful blog! sounds like you had a super super super wonderful christmas!! i cant wait to see JC in his gorgeous new bridle and martingale! i dont think Doobie will be jealous about the new gear...i dont think he wants to wear any of that fancy gear anymore! he likes being ridden BB in his halter and lead rope!! :D merry christmas!!
