The barn owner is a wonderful woman who just sent out an e-mail to everyone at the farm. She's noticed recently there's been a bigger issue with theft at the farm and was wondering what she could do to discourage it. Meanwhile, she asked that everyone please keep everything of value under lock & key, just to be safe. I replied with the following:
" I've never had a problem with this at this barn or any other for I'm assuming one main reason: I plaster my name/my horse's name all over everything I own. That, or...people are scared of what I'll do to them if I catch them with my stuff – Watch your step. (completely kidding - thanks for not stealing my belongings, everyone!) "
