Today Jimmy was such a little nerd. Yesterday afternoon he was very needy & we couldn't stay very long, so I felt bad leaving him when he obviously was craving attention. So today I made a special trip out (normally I don't go out on Mondays if he gets turned out) and spent LOTS of time with my guy.
Tonight started out when I whistled when I was walking up the driveway from my car...and Jimmy whinneyed back. I don't know if anything is more satisfying than that :-) Then we went out to the round pen to see how he felt, which he really wanted to eat the grass in there a lot more than play and show me how he felt. Typical. But he did play a little bit so I could get some snapshots of him. Lookin' alright!
Then I took him back up to his pen, and closed the door to his stall, so he couldn't get back in and I could clean his stall. He was not okay with this. Do you see what I see??
When he realized he couldn't see enough, he went next door, and spied on me while I cleaned his stall. Still, not happy he couldn't be with me:
Finally, I opened his stall door so he could come back in, and I went outside...so when he walked in his stall and expected to see me, I was out behind him. He was so offended. Hahaha. I love playing games with this horse. It's too funny!! He thought it'd be fun to try & tip over the wheel barrow, and also thought the pitchfork would make a sweet jollyball replacement, until it flipped and poked him in the face. Offended again.
"What?! I wasn't trying to tipp that wheelbarrow over mom...I...wouldn't.....do that....."
I LOVE THOSE LIPS!!!!!! He lets me hold his face in my hands and I just kiss him on the lips over and over. Thank you, God. I love this horse more than any other.
