Riding and Bath Day!

Today I went to Long Grove Farms and hacked one of my favorites over there – Beau. His mom is out of town this weekend so I was assigned the lovely task of hacking him :-) He's a fun hack too!!! I'm just so out of shape it was embarrassing...Here are a few pictures:

And Choo got a bath today! Here's a photo of us on our walk after the bath (which he only had one and a half meltdowns during!!! Great for the first bath of the season! someday maybe he'll be normal for baths...one can only hope)

I love that I'm wearing crocs and it's absolutely not safe around horses to wear them...but let me tell you, bathing in those suckers was SUCH a great idea! They got my feet wet, and then my feet DRIED! rather than the paddock boot situation, which get sopping wet and never dry again, and the leather gets destroyed...or the muck boot situation, where you're so clumbsy and awkward you trip all over your own feet. Crocs win. And note that I wore my favorite – Kerrits performance tights today! PERFECT for this 90ยบ heat!!

Dear Universe: You are Incredible

A few weeks ago I was perusing the internet and stalking one of my favorite brands, Kerrits. I realized they have this Ambassador program in which they select certain applicants to promote their brand. As a huge fan of Kerrits, I thought "sure, I could apply for this..." and CHECK IT OUT!!! I am a Kerrits Ambassador now! I can spread the word and promote the brand and let EVERYONE know that I think Kerrits is great!!!

Meanwhile: The Jimmy Update
No stumbling today, Hallelujah!!! One of his incision sites opened up a bit and bled for a moment, but clotted immediately and didn't seem to bother him a tick. ALSO he got to wear his new mask tonight for the first time, which he loved! As soon as I held it out, he put his head down & his ears into it. I think he's sick of the bugs in his ears, what do you think?? He, as always, was perfect on his walk. Very happy to have his mask on too, even if it looks like he's hiding :)

Wrap-less and Rocking it!!!

I remembered his Adequan tonight too :-) I made little flash cards for his stall so everyone remembers when his wraps need to come off every day & then some for next week when he gets to start going outside :-) Recovery! It's flying by!!! I'm so grateful.
