Every night when I see Jimmy, I just stare at him while he walks...totally in awe of how wonderful he is. I can't believe he's MINE. I love him so much :)
Last night he was perfectly delightful for his walk. Little sluggish by the third time up the hill, but that's normal. Usually by then he's a little slow. He also, I noticed last night, is a total chub rock right now. All this time off with no work and extra food to keep him quiet during the day = CHUB ROCK JIMMY. ("Chub Rock" is Bill's term, I'm stealing it because it fits JC perfectly right now. LOL)
It was 9PM by the time I left bc I had a heck of a night (long story, don't even want to go into it) and none of the other horses had come in for dinner yet, and Jimmy's was still sitting outside his stall, so I gave it to him. They had REALLY green, fresh hay in there already for him, so I tossed him an extra flake for him to make it through the night and gave him his grain with his supps. Next month my shipment will be without the SmartTLC, so we'll see a wonderful improvement ($25 makes a difference!!!) in my checking account. I'm curious to see what the difference it makes in HIM is. It's all anti-inflammatories, so hopefully he makes out alright without them. I talked with Mom about it and she thinks that timing will be just right. He will be off the SmartTLC entirely by mid-July, aka 2 weeks into when he'll be back under saddle, so he should be all good by then (fingers crossed).
Tonight Bill is coming up to help with JC and he's going to get a lesson on how to properly lead Jimmy. He's sick of getting stepped on :-D
P.S. His dapples are gone?!? HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?!?! I WANT THEM BACK!!!! More tomorrow....
