Last night Bill came to the barn with me. Jimmy and I went for a walk while Bill cleaned out Jim's limestone lot and stall.
We stopped and saw Pepe along the way:
Then when we got back Bill still wasn't done (Jim's a big pooper) so I took the photo op as Jimmy stood on the edge of his stall, watching his Daddy work. It was so adorable.
Of course later Jim did his usual "Let's see if I can tip the wheelbarrow over while they aren't looking" move, but with two of us in the lot with him, he didn't stand a chance of winning ;-)
Happy Friday! Hope everyone enjoys the weekend. Tomorrow I go dress shopping for the first time. Wish me luck!

Cute photos! Love Pepe's face!
Hehe thanks! He's a cutie pie.
Hi, I read your blog religously but never comment. But now I'm forced to show myself... I have a question. Is there a benefit to using whole flax vs. ground flax?
Thanks for "showing yourself"!!! And for reading!! I have read that when ground flax has been stabilized, then it's safe to feed. If it isn't then it oxidizes and loses all of it efficacy, so you're really just feeding them a powder. The whole flax is much more affordable ($30 for 50#) and easy. Just store it in an airtight container OUT of sunlight, and feed a cup or so a day.
Jim the Horse better love his dad!
