The days of loving my precious little 2004 VW Jetta Turbo may be numbered, so it's time to research my options.
I want something with 4 doors, a hatchback, and insanely good mileage (I drive 50 miles round trip to see Jimmy Choo! REALLY GOOD MILEAGE A MUST) OH and it has to be less than $15,000. I've dwindled it down to the Honda Fit or Toyota Yaris - anyone have experience with either? Stories, good or bad?? Or suggestions of what else I should consider? I'm open!!! I'm hoping I won't NEED a new car, but there is a possibility the transmission on my Jetta is going fast & it costs more to replace than what the car is worth so I want to be sure I'm researched and ready!!

One of my daughters has a Fit - we compared to the Yaris when we were buying and the Fit just suited us better - we already had one Honda and one Toyota so we didn't have a brand bias. She's had it for a while and driven it a lot and has been very happy with it. It's surprisingly roomy inside for such a small car.
